Let’s talk about our class booking system. It’s the unsung hero of your fitness journey, quietly working in the background to keep things running smoothly while you crush PRs, dominate WODs, and maybe learn how to finally string together those elusive double-unders. But, like CrossFit itself, it’s not without its quirks. So, let’s break it down so you can see why it’s the best thing since protein powder.
Step 1: Credits—Because Unlimited Classes Would Be Chaos
Here’s the deal: each month, you get a limited number of class credits. Why? Because if we let you book unlimited classes, two things would happen:
- You’d ambitiously book every class on the schedule with the same energy you bring to a fresh set of burpees.
- You’d realize mid-month that you’ve skipped half of them because, well, life.
Credits keep it real. They encourage you to commit to the classes you actually plan to attend instead of becoming a “Class Hoarder” (you know who you are).
Step 2: Book It, Baby (But Not Too Far Out)
You can book your spot up to two weeks in advance. That’s right—we’re giving you just enough time to feel organized without letting your “future self” overestimate your enthusiasm for thrusters. Two weeks is perfect: it’s short enough to keep your commitment legit, but long enough to plan around life’s other obligations, like work, kids, or binge-watching your favorite Netflix show.
Step 3: The 6:30 AM Rule—Because Snoozers Lose (Literally)
Let’s get to the spicy part: the 6:30 AM class. Yes, it has its own cancellation policy. Why? Because we’ve got to talk about “Bed Resignation Syndrome.” You know, that moment at 5:45 AM when your alarm goes off, and instead of thinking about how much you love burpees, you roll over and hit snooze, convincing yourself that you’ll just go tomorrow.
Here’s what we’ve learned:
- 95% of cancellations for the 6:30 AM class happen within 30 minutes of its start time.
- Meanwhile, there’s a whole squad of people whose only chance to work out is that 6:30 AM class, and they’re missing out because someone else snagged their spot... only to bail.
So, we introduced a 6-hour cancellation window for this class. If you’re booked and want to cancel, you’ve got to decide by 12:30 AM. No last-minute “maybe I’ll just sleep in” excuses.
What happens if you violate the 6 hour rule? You'll be booted out of the rest of the 6:30 AM classes (only) for the rest of the week. It’s tough love, but hey, so is CrossFit.
Why It Works
This system isn’t just about being strict for the sake of it. It’s about fairness, community, and making sure that the people who want to show up can actually show up. The 6:30 AM class is consistently one of our busiest—and we want to keep it that way. This policy ensures it stays full of people who are ready to crush their morning workout (or at least survive it).
Final Thoughts: Accountability Builds Gains
Our class booking system isn’t perfect—kind of like your first attempt at toes-to-bar. But it’s designed with the same principles that make CrossFit great: accountability, discipline, and a little bit of grit. So embrace it. Plan your week. Commit to your workouts. And if you book the 6:30 AM class, remember—you’re stronger than your snooze button.
See you in class (bright and early).
